Yumeng Pan, born in China, has performed to great critical acclaim throughout the Asia, Europe, UK and US as a pianist. She has given recitals in venues such as National Centre for the Performing Arts in China, Beijing Concert Hall, the Forbidden City Concert Hall, Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall, Kilbourn Recital Hall, Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall, and Steinway Halls in Beijing and New York City.
Beside of solo performances, Yumeng also enjoys cooperating with other musicians. She has performed many chamber music and duo piano works with her friends. As a concerto soloist, She has been invited to perform with Ashdod Symphony Orchestra, Shenyang Symphony Orchestra, Harbin Sumphony orchestra, Solisti di Perugia, and the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Shenyang Conservatory of Music.
Yumeng has achieved many excellent results in piano competitions worldwide. She has won the First Prize of the MTNA Young Artist National Competition in the United States, the Gold Prize and the Best Performance of 20th-21st Century Works at the Carlos Sofia International Piano Competition in Spain, the First Prize at the London International Classical Piano Competition in the United Kingdom, and the First Prize in both the solo and concerto competitions at the Beijing Music Festival.
Now she is a faculty member of the piano department at Harbin Conservatory of Music in China. During her undergraduate, master’s and doctoral studies, she studied at the Eastman School of Music in the United States and the Royal College of Music in the United Kingdom under the professors of Nelita True, Natalya Antonova, and Dmitri Alexeev. She also studied at the precollege of Central Conservatory of Music and the Shenyang Conservatory of Music, where she was a student of Prof. Danwen Wei for many years.
