Jinhong Li has graced the world’s stages in many prestigious concerts, establishing a distinguished reputation as both a sensitive soloist and a highly sought-after collaborative pianist. He made his exceptional public debut with an orchestra at the remarkably young age of 14. Since that early success, he has captivated audiences across Asia, Europe, and North America with his compelling recitals and masterful concerto performances. His collaborative artistry has been showcased with a number of renowned orchestras, including the Kansas City Chamber Orchestra, Solisti di Perugia, Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra Xiamen Theater, the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, and the Uzbekistan National Symphony Orchestra.
His illustrious career is marked by numerous prizes and awards from international competitions, a testament to his profound musicality. His accolades include triumphs at the Hilton Head International Young Artists Piano Competition and the 2nd China Shenzhen International Piano Concerto Competition in 2011. He further distinguished himself at the 10th Sydney International Piano Competition in 2012, the 4th KAWAI Asian Youth Piano Competition in 2013, and the 9th China Music Golden Bell Award Piano Competition, also in 2013. In 2017, he earned the Third Prize at the highly competitive 19th Ile de France International Piano Competition, adding to his laudatory acclaim.
Born in Shenyang, China, Jinhong Li embarked on his musical journey at the age of five. He laid a solid foundation for his studies under the guidance of Danwen Wei, Director of the Piano Department at the Central Conservatory of Music. From 2014 to 2018, he honed his craft under the tutelage of the esteemed pianist Stanislav Ioudenitch at Park University in Missouri, where he attended on a full scholarship. His pursuit of artistic excellence led him to The Juilliard School in 2018, where he earned a Master of Music degree studying with pianist Hung-Kuan Chen. In 2025, he was conferred the Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) degree from the Eastman School of Music, studying under the guidance of Dr. Douglas Humpherys. Following his academic pursuits, 2025 also marked the beginning of his dedication to nurturing the next generation of musicians, as he joined the faculty of the Shenyang Conservatory of Music as a piano professor.
