Zhu Hao, Steinway Artist from China, has won many awards include the 1st prize in the 7th Chinese Golden Bell Award for Music in 2009, the 4th prize in the 4th Shanghai International Piano Competition in 2007, the 1st prize in the 5th Anton Rubinstein International Piano Competition in Dresden in October 2012 with Audience Prize too, the 5th prize in 10th Sydney International Piano Competition in July 2012, at the same time he got a special prize for the best performance of Chopin’s works. He also awarded as the 2nd prize in the 3rd China Shen Zhen International Piano Concerto Competition in Shen Zhen in June 2014 and the semi-final prize in the 10th Dublin International Piano Competition in Dublin in May 2015. Recently, Mr. Zhu was praised as one of the “Top Ten Outstanding Chinese Young Pianists of Huaxia Qin Ying” in 2023.
He’s also performed with many famous orchestra in the world including Sydney Symphonic Orchestra, St.Petersburg’s State Capella Symphony Orchestra, Dresden Weber Music Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Opera Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra, Guangzhou Symphonic Orchestra, Sichuan Symphonic Orchestra, Shen Zhen Symphonic Orchestra and so on.
Mr. Zhu Hao was accepted to enter the Shanghai Conservatory of music in 2005. He received his bachelor’s degree in 2009. At the same time, he was accepted to enter the graduated program with the 1st outstanding mark for the entering examination. In 2013, he entered the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music to persue the Artist Diploma programme in Israel. His teachers included Wu Siyi, Chen Qingfeng, Yang Yunlin and Arie Vardi.
In 2014, Mr. Zhu was hired by the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music as a high-caliber professional. Currently, Mr. Zhu Hao(Associate Professor) is one the faculty member in the Piano Department. He was invited to give many performances, masterclasses and lectures around the world, including in Russia, France, Germany, Belgium, Dublin, Italy, Greece, Sydney, Japan, Israel and China. His CD album “ Piano Works of Chu Wanghua” was recorded and published by the NCPA Classics in 2025.
